VOLUNTEERS  NEEDED!

Show your support of the Ainsworth Public Library by volunteering. We have a good time with lots of laughs along the way. Generally, volunteers do 2 hour shifts. We offer a variety of tasks to complete and are flexible with scheduling. Contact the library for more information. Volunteering is a great way to meet people in the community, share an expertise you may have and make new friends. Here is our volunteer application: Volunteer application.  Youth Volunteer Application: Youth VOL ApplicationPlease fill it out and drop it to the library.

Become A Friend

Consider becoming a member of the Friends of Ainsworth Public Library. The Friends of the Library help set the pulse for fundraising for the library. The Friends purchase the Vermont Award books every year, help provide prizes for the summer reading program and help the library purchase big ticket items (ex. air conditioners) The Friends participate in the Harvest Festival in town, the Williamstown Winter Carnival, Memorial Day Annual Book and Cookie Sale, and the annual town Rummage Sale. They are always looking for people to help in big ways  as well as small. The Friends meet monthly to plan for events but you do not need to be present at their meetings in order to participate. Please contact the library for more information on joining or volunteering.

Student Community Service

Students, needing to fulfill Public Service obligations can volunteer at the library for credit.  We welcome your participation.  To help you meet your requirements, please email or call the Director to discuss your current year’s expectations and needs.  We offer a variety of tasks that will keep you engaged and give you the chance to give back to the community.
